OK, so I've skipped a day or two of writing on the blog - time to catch you up on what's been happening.  Tuesday evening the skaters had to (got to?) skip their last workout because of a thunderstorm. They did some stretches together and then watched a 1980's  movie classic, the Goonies.  Wednesday brought some more rain, so the troop gathered  in Valentin's rental house and worked out using videos.  The videos were of Ukrainian gymnasts doing work out routines to Up Town Funk by Bruno Mars.  The skaters all mentioned that they didn't like the song as much after exercising to it multiple times. :)   This morning (Thursday) the skaters are back out on the beach, but we are anticipating more rain throughout the day.  I believe the forecast says the sun will shine on Friday and Saturday!  More later....

Well, it seems the skaters are too busy having fun to write something on the blog tonight.  So, I suppose I will take their place.  The weather cooperated, it was sunny with a nice breeze - the last practice they actually needed jackets.  Jenny has been cooking some awesome meals, tonight was curry chicken with basmati rice, cucumber salad, watermelon and raspberries. Right now I am unable to hear myself think because of the music that is playing on the loud speaker and the noises coming from the card games being played.  Before too long, it will be time for bed...gotta get rest for another day of figure skating conditioning training....

What in the world were we thinking..... Road trip across America with 6 kids and 3 moms in our caravan of two cars.  Let's just call it an "experience" we will likely never forget!  Actually, we had quite a bit of fun and saw many spectacular sites along the way. We could have done without the traffic and rain though.  It seemed like everyday we were stuck on the interstate for several hours, not moving at all.  However, we eventually arrived, and believe it or not, we all still like each other. For the remainder of the camp the skaters will write on the blog, so stay tuned.....
